Child Presenting

Joyful Learning Projects

Students in Miss Peterson’s third grade class presented their Joyful Learning Projects. Students got to choose a topic that interests them, learn and practice research skills, and create an informational text book for their classmates. Additionally, they created a visual, such as a poster, to present to the class. The topics selected were very creative, ranging from defunct rides at Great America to sea turtles.

Spelling Bee

Townline Spelling Bee Results

Townline Elementary’s best spellers (in fourth and fifth grade) took part in a spelling bee on January 19. The fourth and fifth grade homeroom classes held individual spelling bees to select two winners from each class. These winners became the 14 students who took part in the annual spelling bee: Emily H., Sri K., Diya R., Timothy D., Sree S., Wesley E., Joanna C., Jessica X., Kayla J., Shaila W., Luke W., Vaishnavi P., Sofia K., and Luke A.

The students did a great job. The winner was Luke W. (fifth grade) and the runner up was Jessica X. (fourth grade).  Congratulations to the students.
