Kermés

Over 300 hundred people braved the rain to attend Dual Language’s recent annual cultural event known as the Kermés, a Latin-style carnival organized by teachers and parent volunteers. Almost three dozen families brought or prepared delicious food, middle schoolers helped run games other kid-friendly activities, and several staff members willingly took their chances in a dunk tank. Teachers also coordinated a raffle of some wonderful donated items, and everyone was treated to a live mariachi band. At the end of the evening, families sang Happy Birthday as teachers hoisted a cake to celebrate the program’s 15th birthday.
