Important Parking Lot Instructions

Dear Townline and School of Dual Language Parents,
Due to safety concerns and recommendations from the Vernon Hills Police Department, parents who pick up their child after school will no longer be allowed to enter the parking lot using the exit lane after 3:00. Please do not enter the parking lot bypassing the line of cars. The Vernon Hills Police Department will stop cars from going in the exit lane after 3:00PM. This begins Wednesday, March 19th.

Parents have three options:

  • Arrive prior to 3:00 PM to find a legal parking spot. Please do not double park or park behind the school.
  • Wait in line with the other cars if arriving before or after 3:00.
  • If it is after 3:00 and you need your child immediately, park across the street or in the Middle School North parking lot and walk to the school for parent pick up.

Background Information:

The Strategic Planning Committee is working to develop a strategic plan with specific goals and activities to reach those goals.  This document will provide a vision of where our district currently stands as well as where we need to go to meet the needs of our students. The Committee’s next step is to look at building an actionable plan that moves us closer to our vision and supports continuous improvement for our students.

Strategic Planning Committee meetings are open to the public, as this is a Board committee working for continuos improvement to meet the needs of our students.
